My program philosophy contains primary program goals and objectives. The main objective is to provide children with a warm, loving environment and development to prepare them for school. This program is designed to promote social interaction and desire to learn basic life and learning skills. By fostering personal self-esteem, a child's social, mental, emotional, and physical development will grow.
My program also provides respect to the child with opportunity to make choices, to learn their own pace, and to gain confidence. By gaining confidence within themselves, they learn to develop decision making problem solving and independence in a stimulating environment.
Children learn to do things by hands-on experiences. My program provides children to opportunity to grow more independently. Children learn most when observing and being able to also explore via activities. These activities capture the interest of children and therefore make learning easier.
Parents should maintain a healthy communication between their children and themselves. Open communication is one of my primary goals, because this would allow for children and parents to maintain such a healthy relationship.
Communication is also important between the program, the directors, and parents. Directors are responsible for informing the parents of the rules and guidelines within the program. Parents must also communicate with directors and inform them of any health issues a child has. For example, if the child has any allergies, a parent has the responsibility to inform the director about these. In order to fulfill a parent's needs, both directors and parents must be communicative with each other.
